Communication with Google Earth Issue

Due to the latest automatic update of Google Earth many users who have an older version of Plex.Earth installed will receive this error message when using some of its functions.

To resolve this issue, please download and install the latest release of our software from out website:
http://www.plexearth.com/Download.aspx

This release features a diagnostics tool that can automatically fix the problem the next time it appears.

 

Alternatively you can follow these steps to manually fix it:

- Close AutoCAD and Google Earth

- Download and install the patch below:
http://pxstorage.blob.core.windows.net/pub/GoogleEarthx64.reg
(you will need to have administrator rights to apply it)

- Re-open AutoCAD and try again

 

If this does not directly solve the problem, then do the following (once more with AutoCAD and Google Earth closed):

1) Open a Command Prompt with administrator privileges: 

Windows 7
Go to Windows' Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> right-click on "Command Prompt" and then select "Run as Administrator".

Windows 8
Click on Windows Icon + X on your keyboard and select "Command Prompt(Admin)" from the list that comes up.

 

2) In the command prompt pop-up that will appear type:

cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Google Earth Pro\client   (press Enter and then) 
googleearth.exe /RegServer    (and press Enter)

[Note: if you are using Google Earth instead of Google Earth Pro, type "cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Google Earth\client" in the first step]

 

3) Close the pop-up and retry.
