Nearmap was founded in 2008 and it is a digital content provider, offering businesses subscription-based access to high resolution aerial imagery, city-scale 3D data sets, and integrated geospatial tools. It covers 88% of Australia's population, 68% of the US population, and 72% of the New Zealand population. It's services include panorama imagery (a mosaic of oblique photos for multi-directional view of the sides of buildings and other ground features), measurable obliquea (for measuring heights, widths and surface area of buildings) and 3D datasets for Australia’s major cities (for textured mesh, DSM, point cloud and true ortho). Nearmap's services are a great engineering tool for scenario evaluation, cost estimates, community engagement and change detection over multi-year projects.
